From The Kitchen Fried Cabbage

Fried Cabbage

This is a great recipe for lunch or supper.

8 Servings


””4 slices bacon
1 head green cabbage
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  I a large skillet, cook bacon until it is crispy. Turn down heat under skillet. Remove bacon to paper towel. Put in the cabbage and add a lid. Cook until just done. Don't over cook. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the cabbage to bowl and crumble  the reserved bacon on top and serve immediately. This is great served with beans, a salad and cornbread. Don't forget the iced tea for a great meal.
